We have been working with computers, both digital and analog, since 1957, some seventeen years before the advent of personal computers (PC’s) which, according to the History channel’s web site (history.com), came upon the scene in 1974. We can remember well the days when digital computers were huge, bulky combinantions of mechanical and electrical components that occupied entire buildings but had a mere fraction of the capabilities of today’s PC’s that fit neatly in the palm of someone’s hand. The technological advances that have taken place in our world have truly been amazing.

In the early days of our involvement with computers we were focused primarily on the development of software for doing complex engineering computations. As computing capabilities expanded, our experience did as well so that we became more proficient with other computer applications like word processing and computer graphics, along with our experience in handling computer hardware issues in addition to software.

From an academic point of view, we have earned degrees through the doctoral level from top-ranked colleges and universities in the United States, and we have been on the faculties of several well-known high-ranking colleges and universities teaching both undergrad and graduate courses in math and computer science in both the face-to-face and online environments. We also have worked in business and industry for several well-known American companies.
